NiP, x6tence through to semis

Ninjas in Pyjamas and x6tence are the last two teams to have made it to the semi-finals at DreamHack Valencia after finishing first and second in Group A, respectively.

Both teams had already earned a spot in the tournament's last four, so the match between the two was merely to decide who would come out on top of the group and avoid a semi-final clash against VeryGames.

x6tence, who began on the Terrorist side, came out the stronger and took an early lead after winning the first three rounds. However, NiP quickly picked themselves up and won the remainder of the first half to go into interval up 12-3.

This time around, NiP were able to win the pistol round, but a forcebuy from x6tence in the third round caught the Swedes by surprise and put a stop to their momentum. The Spanish team would win three more rounds, but it was too little, too late, as NiP ran out 16-7 winners.

The semi-final match-ups are now known, as VeryGames will take on x6tence in some minutes, while NiP will lock horns with k1ck on Sunday morning.
